) Full-Time - Tuesday-Saturday: 7:00am-4:00pm

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Building Engineer Assistant at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will provide maintenance assistance and support to the Building Engineer in all areas of general maintenance for the community and grounds. Building Engineer Assistants have knowledge and prior hands-on experience in the areas of general maintenance, basic plumbing, dry wall patching and painting.
YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance as assigned including basic plumbing repairs, dry wall repairs, painting and general upkeep of the community and grounds
  • Maintain upkeep of common areas, ensure exterior sidewalks are free of debris, and assist with trash removal as needed
  • Complete the apartment make ready process in an efficient and detail oriented manner
  • Support resident needs by completing assigned maintenance work order tasks, assist with internal moves as needed
  • Assist with special event set up and clean up as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in apartment, senior living, hotel or comparable setting
  • Proficient reading, comprehension, writing and mathematical ability
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Ability to work assigned shift which may include early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
