Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Lead is a trade specific expert related to complex facility systems and building equipment. This position will assist the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance with monitoring production, planning, coordinating and inspecting the work of staff. In addition, the Facilities Lead will help identify and locate appropriate parts for the Supervisor to order.Other duties will include but not limited to; training, identifying areas of improvement, help coordinate and facilitate projects, occasionally cover shifts, and provides input to the Supervisor in the evaluation & assessment of staff.Job Summary Position Highlights: The Facilities Maintenance Lead is a trade specific expert related to complex facility systems and building equipment. This position will assist the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance with monitoring production, planning, coordinating and inspecting the work of staff. In addition, the Facilities Lead will help identify and locate appropriate parts for the Supervisor to order. Other duties will include but not limited to; training, identifying areas of improvement, help coordinate and facilitate projects, occasionally cover shifts, and participate in evaluation and assessment of staff. Responsibilities: Assist the Facilities Shift Supervisor with; monitoring, production, planning, coordinating, training, and inspecting the work being performed by staff. Perform quality assurance checks on work performed by staff and contractors Identify and locate appropriate parts for the supervisor to order Perform and or direct prescribed preventative maintenance on facilities related systems or building components or maintenance activities as assigned Credentials and Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required Valid Driver's License required, must obtain Florida license within 6 months of employment Minimum of five (5) years of verified experience in a Facilities Operations/Maintenance role, Hospital/ Healthcare environment required. -or- Certified completion of a Vocational Technical program and/or apprenticeship in one of the building trades (i.e. Carpenter, Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Plant Operator, etc.) and a minimum of three (3) years Hospital/Healthcare Facilities experience
