About the Role

The Apprentice Diesel Technician is an entry-level role focused on developing the skills needed to become a fully qualified Diesel Technician.

You'll gain hands-on experience working on heavy-duty trucks while learning directly from experienced technicians. This role is designed to grow into a Diesel Technician position within 1-2 years.

What You'll Do

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, filters, belts, hoses)
  • Assist with engine, brake, and drivetrain repairs
  • Support basic electrical work (batteries, lights, starters, alternators)

Inspection & Support

  • Inspect vehicles and report findings to senior technicians
  • Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting

Shop Responsibilities

  • Follow shop procedures and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Accurately document work performed

What You Bring

  • 0-2 years of mechanical experience or trade/technical school training
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic tool set (minimum requirements apply)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
