Job description

The Apprentice will work alongside licensed technicians to learn the ins and outs of working on HVAC equipment and expand the skill set.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist licensed technicians with installing, maintaining, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and boiler systems.
  • Assist with service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant and wiring controls.
  • Assist techs, however possible, taking the time to get familiar with equipment and proper procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, gathering all tools and materials at the end of the day.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Diploma from a technical High School.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of an OSHA 10 certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with varied audiences, e.g., project managers.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Requires physical work, lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to stand, sit, squat, walk and climb during shift.
  • Exposure to hot & cold temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
