Job Summary (List Format):
- Translate divisional vision into business solutions by developing complex stock plan services software on Z/OS mainframe platform.
- Lead and collaborate with interactive teams to implement scalable and extensible application solutions.
- Develop, automate, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL.
- Perform mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize I/O, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs using tools like Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector.
- Utilize File-AID for file format and comparison, Endeavor for version management, Intertest and Abend-AID for debugging and unit testing, and Control-M for job scheduling.
- Operate as a mainframe engineer within an Agile team, handling requirements gathering, development, and end-to-end testing.
- Define and develop application-level architecture, ensuring scalability, extensibility, and adherence to standards.
- Provide on-site and on-call support, acting as subject matter expert during crisis management.
- Develop applications and subsystems for complex divisional projects.
- Recommend development testing tools and methodologies; review and validate test plans.
- Resolve technical roadblocks across multiple technologies, offering recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with management to share solutions and enhance organizational capabilities.
- Lead stakeholder sessions, provide guidance and feedback to team members.
