Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and enhance complex software applications supporting mission-critical, time-sensitive initiatives focused on integrating distributed applications with the organization's Core Banking platform.
  • Translate business and platform requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable solutions throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Operate with minimal supervision while exercising strong technical judgment.
  • Collaborate with Core Banking, testing, middleware, and platform teams to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and meet aggressive delivery timelines.
  • Design, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications using advanced programming languages and frameworks that meet business needs.
  • Gather and analyze requirements, translate into technical specifications, propose solutions, and ensure timely task completion.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and organizational standards.
  • Implement data structures and algorithms efficiently to optimize performance and user experience.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application errors.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and learn from colleagues to maintain high-quality codebase.
  • Lead small efforts, fostering relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Contribute to development policies, standards, and procedures for applications and software.
  • Continuously learn and improve through collaboration and feedback.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0 or more years of experience in application or software development.
  • Proficiency in software development principles, methodologies (including Agile), pipelines, and version control systems (Git and GitHub).
  • Expertise in Java, XML, Open API, Maven, and ANT, with knowledge of modern frameworks and libraries.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies and capacity to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with incident tracking, project management, and change control tools.
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms for application performance and scalability.
  • Experience developing web services, microservices, REST and SOAP APIs, and implementing REST principles.
  • Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and web APIs like Apache HTTP Client, JAX-WS, JAX-RS.
