Job description

Mainframe Solutions is placing a Project Manager for an active civil contractor delivering sitework and underground utility packages on data center construction projects in the Dallas market. This role owns full project delivery from preconstruction through closeout on mission-critical civil scopes in one of the most in-demand data center markets in the nation.

We are looking for a PM with a strong civil background, a track record of delivering complex sitework on schedule and budget, and the communication skills to manage demanding owner and GC relationships on hyperscale projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Own full project delivery of data center sitework and underground utility packages from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts with accountability for overall financial performance
  • Manage owner, GC, and design team relationships on mission-critical projects with demanding schedules and quality requirements
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, scope management, and performance oversight across all civil utility packages
  • Drive RFI, submittal, and change order processes with the speed and accuracy data center projects require
  • Conduct regular site visits, monitor field progress, and align field execution with project schedule milestones
  • Identify and escalate project risks early with clear mitigation plans to protect schedule and budget
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and project-specific permitting, regulatory, and safety requirements
What we are looking for
  • 5 or more years of project management experience in civil construction with a focus on sitework or underground utilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale civil packages from preconstruction through closeout
  • Strong working knowledge of site grading, wet utilities, storm and sanitary systems, and civil site infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, or equivalent project management and scheduling tools
  • Ability to independently read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
  • Proven subcontractor management and owner-facing communication skills in complex project environments
Preferred experience
  • Direct experience on data center, hyperscale, or mission-critical construction projects
  • Familiarity with Dallas-Fort Worth market permitting, local utility coordination, and site conditions
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent subcontract scopes on large civil sitework packages
  • Background in civil preconstruction, estimating, or bid management
