Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Network Systems Programmer to support the engineering, implementation, and maintenance of secure and high-performing mainframe network environments. This role primarily focuses on IBM z/Series systems and requires strong expertise in network protocols, encryption, and mainframe connectivity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide stable and secure mainframe network engineering support
  • Install, configure, customize, and evaluate mainframe network products
  • Manage and maintain z/Series network environments
  • Support secure file transfer solutions:
    • FTP (SSL)
    • sFTP (SSH)
    • Connect:Direct (NDM Secure)
  • Manage session manager applications:
    • TPX
    • Supersession
  • Develop automation/tooling using:
    • NetMaster, NetView, REXX, CLISTS
  • Configure and maintain TCP/IP components:
    • DVIPA / DDVIPA
    • IPSEC / IPFILTER
    • Intrusion Detection Services (IDS)
    • Enterprise Extender (EE)
  • Support SNA, VTAM, APPN, OSA connectivity
  • Ensure logical connectivity between applications and subsystems
  • Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Implement encryption protocols:
    • IPSEC
    • AT-TLS
    • TLS
  • Monitor network using tools such as:
