Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNS, routers, switches, and other physical hardware. Assist Manager in providing IT support to all members of the organization.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for helpdesk activities. Inform management of recurring problems.
  • Provide technical assistance related to computer systems, including installation of software, hardware, and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, and disk drives on user premises.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes and coordinate with HR and Department Head to ensure proper deployment of new PC’s, proper training for new employees, employee accounts activation/deactivation, and the return of company IT equipment.
  • Diagnose technical issues to determine root cause and provide possible solutions. Inform Manager of complex issues as necessary and provide proposed solutions.
  • Review network, software, and application updates to ensure network performance and compliances.
  • Resolve technical issues with Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks and other systems.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Research questions using available information resources and advise users on appropriate actions. Escalate to the Manager to ensure that issues are resolved timely.
  • Create and maintain detailed documents of the network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating training materials and conducting IT training.
  • Assist is resolving ERP and Ignition issues as necessary.
  • Other reporting and duties as assigned.
Requirements:

• Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment.

• Experience researching, analyzing and interpreting automated system problems.

• Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support.

• Organized and detail oriented.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

• Able to work in a changing environment; must be able to promote suggestions to assist in the creation of an efficient workflow.

• Accountability for performance.

• Written and oral communication proficiency.

• Must follow the environmental program and all safety rules.


Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, network administration, or related field. 3+ years’ experience
