Job description

The Product Specialist is the champion and primary point of contact for all assigned products, and coordinates the activities of all departments related to the success of those products.

Key Activities/Responsibilities (list 5-10) :

  • Analyze market and research competitive offerings. Prepare product road maps. Identify key product features and performance requirements. Direct product line evolution.
  • Establish product line positioning and pricing. Maintain competitive product offerings for the addressed market.
  • Write product technical sales bulletins. Ensure the accuracy of published performance, technical specifications, and product safety issues.
  • Manage the publication of assigned product price lists.
  • Establish production schedules. 
  • Direct the efforts of all participants and contributors.  Ensure that pricing is current in all company printed and web sources.
  • Plan, budget, and manage company participation in major industry trade shows and conferences.  Order necessary exhibit space and services.  Coordinate preparation and shipment of exhibit properties.  Arrange for required cross-functional department support.  Prepare attendee lists for effective show participation.  Maintain trade show storage area.
  • Report regularly on the status of all activities.  Perform any and all other tasks assigned by the Product Manager and the VP/GM of Systems

Requirements / Skills:

  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in marketing or sales of technical products.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Products and mainframe applications.

Wage Range: $60,841 - $86,916
