Job description

Mainframe Systems Support Specialist (Night Shift)

Seeking a Mainframe Systems Support Specialist to support our client within their night shift schedule. Although this position is 100% remote, we are seeking candidates that reside in Maryland, Wash DC, Virginia or West Virginia. The night shift will be a 4 day / 10 hour shift, anytime between 6p to 6a, Monday through Sunday (including holidays).

We are seeking Mainframe Systems Support Specialist who can respond/forward/triage system alerts within our clients Mainframe System.

Minimum 5 years mainframe support experience with expertise in COBOL, z/OS, JCL, DB2, Control-M, monitoring tools (DataDog/BigPanda), and healthcare payor domain preferred.
Required Skills

  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.)
  • Experience: 5 years experience at minimum. Thorough knowledge of Mainframe Technologies such as Cobol, z/OS, JCL, DB2 (top technologies) along with CA7, CICS, DFHSM, FTP, HMC, ISPF, JES2, NDM, NET MON, OPS MVS, SAR, TMON, TIVOLI, TPX, AFP, TSO, MVS Utilities, CLIST and REXX.
  • Experience working with monitoring tools DataDog or BigPanda are ideal, others acceptable.
  • Experience with Control-M
  • Coming from the Healthcare Payor industry is a big plus
