Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Mainframe MQ Administrator to join their team. The role involves managing and supporting a complex middleware infrastructure with a focus on WebSphere MQ Series, ensuring operational excellence and providing business support in both mainframe and distributed environments.
Responsibilities:
• The IT MQ Administrator participates in the implementation, administration, and architectural design strategies in a complex, large scale, middleware infrastructure with primary focus on WebSphere MQ Series.
• Requires a middleware infrastructure operations expertise. Solid communication, ability to work independently.
• Provide Business and product support for MQ in large Mainframe and Distributed environment.
• 24x7 Support (as required) along with Triage and Vendor problem management, performance monitoring and tuning
• Expert in defining and modifying MQ configurations such as queues, clusters, listener ports, channels, pub/sub.
• Create and tune monitors and alerts for messaging.
• Perform maintenance activities such as patching and upgrades.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience with queue sharing and high availability
• Must have in depth knowledge of MQ on the mainframe
• Scripting knowledge
Preferred:
• Distributed MQ experience
