Job description

We are seeking an experiencedย Mainframe IMS & CICS Developer with strong expertise in COBOL-based mainframe applications. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting mission-critical enterprise applications running on z/OS, with a focus on IMS database and transaction processing (CICS) environments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL
  • Work on IMS/DB and IMS/DC environments for database and transaction processing
  • Build and support online transaction processing using CICS
  • Develop and manage batch jobs using JCL
  • Analyze, debug, and resolve production issues in mainframe applications
  • Work with system utilities for dataset management and job scheduling
  • Support application enhancements and performance improvements
  • Collaborate with support and infrastructure teams for system stability
Required Skills
  • Strong proficiency in COBOL programming
  • Hands-on experience with z/OS mainframe environment
  • Strong expertise in IMS (IMS/DB, IMS/DC)
  • Solid experience in CICS transaction processing
  • Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language)
  • Understanding of mainframe dataset management and basic system administration
