Job Description

Seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to lead the design, development, support, and enhancement of tax and regulatory reporting applications on IBM Mainframe platforms. The role involves collaborating with tax, finance, and business stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing technical leadership, and mentoring development teams while driving application stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead development, maintenance, and support of tax reporting applications.
Collaborate with business, tax, and compliance teams to define requirements and solutions.
Design, review, test, and deploy mainframe-based reporting solutions.
Ensure application performance, stability, and regulatory compliance.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Mentor developers and support project planning and estimation.

Required Skills:
8+ years of IBM Mainframe development experience.
Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS.
Experience with Zeke, File Manager, Abend-Aid, SPUFI, SORT, ICETOOL.
Knowledge of SFTP processes, report generation, batch processing, and job scheduling.
Strong SQL, debugging, performance tuning, and Azure DevOps/source control experience.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 100,000 - 118,650.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
