Mainframe Developer (CICS + IMS)

Location – Wilmington, DE

Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications.
  • Work on batch and online processing systems using COBOL, JCL, IMS, and CICS.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Support production systems and resolve issues within defined SLAs.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating system.
  • Expertise in IMS database concepts, including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
  • Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.
