Job Description Please, no unsolicited communication from vendors or candidates. Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Mainframe Systems Administrator to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our mainframe systems. This pivotal role supports their commitment to providing outstanding service by maintaining system reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate will be a 'jack of all trades ' and be able to troubleshoot and provide technical support and problem resolution to other adjacent technology groups. Key Responsibilities: Analyze mainframe operating systems and resources to optimize performance and reliability. Participate in the selection, testing, installation, and implementation of new mainframe hardware and software.

Required Experience: At least 7 years in mainframe engineering and administration. In-depth knowledge and experience with z/OS operating systems. Experience with RACF and security protocols.

Experience with DB2 and JCL scripting. Familiarity with Assembler, COBOL, CICS, BMC and data structures. Familiarity with FileAid, Expeditor IBM MQ and Broadcom CA7/CA1.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience.
