Complete Description:
The successful candidate will have advanced programming skills and current mainframe administration.  This will enable the candidate to be able to code in a variety of languages (Cobol, Telon, Rational, REXX, COOLGen, etc.), analyze/troubleshoot applications plus DB2 problems, have knowledge of troubleshooting connectivity across multiple networks, and then recommend, implement, and support solutions for all products during and after the upgrades.  This person will also interact with both business units and subject matter experts regarding every application affected and provide guidance, support and leadership regarding application interactions.  This position will also know how to program interface engine connection threads to/from the mainframe using ESB or MQ Series or Cloverleaf systems.  This person will also have thorough knowledge of HIPAA and HL7. 

Skills Required:
  • Administer, support and troubleshoot mainframe operating system z/OS
  • Current Cobol application code troubleshooting
  • Current and thorough knowledge of DB2 and DB2 Connect plus troubleshooting both
  • Current and thorough knowledge of writing and supporting DB2 stored procedures
  • Supported and installed Finalist, Streamweaver, and Forms
  • Current and thorough knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Solaris operating system administration
  • The ability to troubleshoot network connections as they related to applications, printing, and client connections.
  • Administer, support, and troubleshoot mainframe applications using both IBM and CA tools

Highly desired:
  • Thorough knowledge of AFP and REXX
  • Current and thorough knowledge of Interface engines including MQ series and ESB
  • Experience maintaining and supporting Cloverleaf with ability to code TCL
  • The ability to install,troubleshoot, and program using TELON
  • Must have working knowledge of Federal regulations regarding HL7 and HIPAA
  • Candidate must have strong communication and project management skills
  • Candidate should have a strong understanding of DHHS business functions
