Summary

The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for the processing of confidential documents. They sort and log incoming mail into an internal system as required. Mailroom clerks also deliver messages and outgoing mail and packages. They maintain shipping and mailing supplies. Efficient and accurate data entry skills, the ability to work cohesively with other staff in a mailroom setting, and the ability to adapt to the current scanning processes, as well as being able to work effectively as part of a team, are essential to the success of the selected candidate. This position will operate light and heavy mailroom equipment by performing various duties, task, and responsibilities, such as setting up, monitoring job, light maintenance, and cleaning to ensure that machines continue to run properly. May also work as back up.

  • Opening, Sorting mail
  • Scanning documents and radiographs
  • Identifying and labeling documents electronically
  • Meet established production and quality standards daily and ensure contractual SLA's are met
  • Be willing to learn other tasks within the Claims Processing Department
What we're looking for
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet).
  • Participates productively as a member of a team; Expected to have an eye for detail, be self-motivated, use time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written policies, procedures, guidelines, and assignments without detailed direction; Completes tasks beyond general support level. 
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. higher than shoulder weight and ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.

  • Fully On-site, no remote opportunity
  • Overtime Required when applicable
  • Must be able to work Gainwell Holidays
  • Must be able to work on Saturdays
  • Work on-site 5 days per week and maintain attendance that adheres to the Gainwell policy 

Must be a resident of the Greater Sacramento area of California

The pay range for this position is $31,200 - $44,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
