About This Role

This position exists to provide mail service to the campus community by sorting, delivering, and collecting all campus and federal mail from various campus locations. This position will process all outgoing mail using various carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL) while conforming to Domestic and International regulations by utilizing shipping software, handheld scanners, and various computer programs.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site. Employee in this position is allowed considerable latitude in completing all work assignments.
Instructions are given verbally and in writing. United States Postal Service manuals, United Parcel Service manuals, charts, and bulletins are provided and updated regularly.
Assignments are given verbally and in writing. Very particular attention is given to detail.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years experience in a major mail room operation.
  • Prefer knowledge of United States Postal Service and United Parcel Service regulations, rapid reading ability and memorization skills for sorting of mail, and data entry ability.
