Job description

A well-established independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide ongoing vacation coverage for their busy mail order department. With an average of 1,000 compounds processed daily, this role offers the opportunity to oversee a dynamic operation that plays a vital role in patient care through specialized eye drop medications.
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Lunch break from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • Weekends closed
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of five pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription fills, and handling phone inquiries
  • Oversee the mail order eye drop department, managing shipments of three specialized post-cataract surgery eye drop formulations
  • Address questions and provide guidance on pharmacy operations and compound preparations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Active Pharmacist License in the state of Tennessee in good standing
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
  • Experience in mail order pharmacy preferred but not mandatory
