Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work on the production floor to fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently. This position involves assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for mail order distribution, ensuring all prescriptions meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.

  • Label and package medications for mail order distribution.

  • Ensure that all prescriptions are filled correctly and meet quality standards.

  • Monitor and maintain medication inventory levels.

  • Order medications and supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock.

  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with inventory audits.

  • Input prescription data into the pharmacy information system.

  • Assist with resolving issues related to delayed or incorrect orders.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy practice.

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all prescription orders and transactions.

  • Assist with maintaining the confidentiality and security of patient information.

  • Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of pharmacy services.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.

  • Report any medication errors or discrepancies to the supervising pharmacist.

  • Assist pharmacists with administrative tasks as needed.

  • Help maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by state law.

  • 2+ years of experience in retail or mail order pharmacy.

Work Environment

This position is based in a closed-door mail order pharmacy. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm. However, training will be conducted from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Shift assignment is based on tenure, with the possibility of remaining on the first shift. The company offers a supportive and growing environment, with opportunities to make a significant impact. Employees have weekends off and paid holidays for major occasions such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and New Year's Day.
