Job description

POSITION IS PHYSICALLY LOCATED IN OUR BANGOR, MAINE FACILITY

Do you enjoy doing a variety of tasks throughout your day? Learn different things? Do you like being busy?

Performs daily sorting of mail projects in compliance with job specifications, current postal regulations, and company quality standards and procedures. Conducts regular operator maintenance on equipment. Assist in any other manner in order to maximize productivity or quality within the Operations Production Team. Operate inserting machinery, general office equipment, postage meters, and mail-sorting machine, and some finishing equipment. Operates pallet jack, forklift, and box truck (non-CDL). Prior experience preferred but not required. This position will be responsible for operating mailing equipment at a high level of efficiency while maintaining strict quality standards with very tight deadlines. Requires successful completion of a Background Check and a Valid Maine Driver's License.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to follow directions in a set order with attention to detail to ensure accuracy and maintain quality level during production.
  • Ensures accuracy of job count and quality to customer specifications.
  • Completes and maintain operator reports.
  • Performs set up, operation, and shut down functions of equipment.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in performing all duties.
  • Ability to operate company box truck, operate a forklift, and pallet jack.
  • Valid Maine Driver’s license required.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Regular bending, lifting, and reaching involved, mechanical aptitude, Ability to push and pull carts and mail cages

· Hand eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboards and handle mail

· Lift 45 – 50 lbs. regularly throughout shift

Environment: Frequent interruptions, interacting with others on a regular basis, Machinery operating constantly throughout shift
