Job description

Overall Scope and Responsibility:

Ensure that all guest rooms and bathrooms are cleaned to the company standards in both quality and quantity.


Essential Duties:

  • Provide maid service for guest rooms and meet cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Replace any unused amenities and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Assist Lobby Attendant in delivering guest requests.
  • Provide maid service by doing a thought out cleaning, vacuum, undusted, replenishing amenities, linens, and supplies and filling ice bucket as preferred by guest.
  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents.
  • Assist PM attendants by stripping and making beds, changing bed linens, dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves in team effort.
  • Empty trash.
  • Sign for room keys and restock heavy cart.
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify cleaning completion
  • Assist Lobby Attendant in public areas as needed.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to Safety/Security Department
  • Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests and employee safety in the event of an emergency
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training
  • Keep work area neat and organized

Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Must be able to carry 25 lbs.
  • Commitment to superior customer service and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Fluency in job related English both verbal and non-verbal.
    • An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace.
    • Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast paced environment.
    • Minimum one year experience within housekeeping dept.
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
