The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Controller at Magna Engineered Glass manages and directs all accounting and financial policies, procedures, and practices to ensure accurate control, reporting, and analysis of the company's business transactions, operating results, assets, and liabilities. Provides strategic leadership for the finance function, including planning, budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting. Supports corporate growth and profitability by developing long-term financial strategies and translating them into actionable plans. Oversees general and cost accounting, internal auditing, payroll, and financial systems, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and implements philosophy and strategic direction and systems for all accounting/finance functions. Leads and facilitates efforts to build world-class accounting/finance practices in compliance with established policies, regulations, and acceptable accounting standards.
• Develop and implement strategic direction and systems for all accounting and finance functions.

• Direct the formulation and execution of corporate financial policies and procedures.
• Supervise general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, internal auditing, and budgetary controls.
• Consolidate financial reports and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and asset utilization improvements.
• Manage the planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets within established guidelines.
• Collaborate with IT/systems teams to support financial systems and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with Magna and Magna Engineered Glass Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
• Perform other duties as required to support business objectives.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Comply with OSHA and MiOSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions and ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Respond promptly to hazards, defects, incidents, or non-compliance issues.
• Attend required EHS training and support safety initiatives.
• Ensure safety budgets are planned and funded appropriately.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of workers' compensation costs.
• Provide necessary data for lost time accident tracking and annual reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting/finance management experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop long-term financial plans.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with experience managing multiple projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of leading Finance/Accounting practices, rules, and regulations.
