Pay Transparency:  This position pays $25.69 to $26.29 per hour depending on experience.  

Primary Worksite Location: This is an on-site role at the Treehouse office in Seattle, WA.  This is not a remote work position. \

Position Summary:

The Material Resource team ensures youth in foster care have access to the basic items they need to be prepared for school and life. Holiday Magic is a program that provides thousands of holiday gifts for youth in foster care in the state of Washington. This position will assist the Fulfillment Coordinator in delivering this year's gift program. This is a part time and temporary role starting late September and ending before the Christmas Holiday.

This position works directly with Treehouse staff, volunteers, and clients and ensures the needs of each stakeholder are being met. Creative, detail-oriented, and personable, this role provides excellent customer service, maintains and updates tracking of requests and provides generalized program support.   


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Assist the Fulfillment Coordinator with the day-to-day operations of the Holiday Magic Program including, but not limited to: 

  • Create shipping lists 
  • Matching registrations to database 
  • Auditing accuracy of requests 
  • Troubleshooting registrations and eligibility 
  • Assisting clients with online and phone registrations
  • Supporting seasonal volunteers through answering questions and communicating progress on shared tasks
  • Assisting with the oversight and operations of gift packing events
  • Addressing incoming questions regarding Holiday Magic from staff, clients, and social workers
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in customer service.  
  • Experience with data entry and database systems preferred.
  • Must satisfy Washington State criminal background requirements for working with youth and vulnerable adults 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability and aptitude with Microsoft O365 and other technology necessary for successful day-to-day functioning in a business environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data validation.
  • Adaptability and initiative; able to problem solve with minimal assistance 
  • Ability to set boundaries and utilize support services to manage the personal impact of working with young people who have been placed at risk 
  • Demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure and deescalate situations when necessary. Must be able to engage in a compassionate manner and with individuals seeking resources while in crisis.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate successfully through multiple platforms and provide compassionate customer service.  
  • Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with individuals of various ages, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and abilities 
  • Deep commitment to racial equity and social justice and ability to effectively engage in candid conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice 
  • Clear nationwide criminal background check 
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and sign a confidentiality agreement 


Physical and Mental Requirements:  

  •  The role will work between 30 and 40 hours per week, depending on department needs. 
  • Expected hours: Flexible scheduling between the hours of 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday and 8:30-2:30 Saturday. Schedule to be negotiated with supervisor.
  • All work performed in-person at 2100 24th Ave S, Seattle WA.
  • Must reside within Washington State to comply with workplace reporting requirements.
