Job description

As a Supporting staff member at Magic Moments Learning Center, you need to maintain a positive mindset toward child learning and social-emotional development. Be open to a flexible role that could include assisting in a classroom setting, kitchen, or office positions. 

Schedule Available:

Full-time and Part-time positions available. Our center is open 6:30am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. If you have any special accommodations that will need to be worked around it is required to let us know immediately.
Qualifications:
  • Pass a Level II / DCF background screening.
  • Must work the same hour Mon. thru Fri.
  • Being willing to start the 45 hours of state-mandated training and complete it within 1 year of hire date. 
  • Have a completed physical or a negative TB test completed upon starting (every 2 years).
  • CPR and 1st aid certification completed within 90 days of employment and keep up to date.
  • Be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Stay positive.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, parents and students.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Work the same schedule hours every day (Monday-Friday) and be reliable.
  • Be able to move around the majority of the day.
  • Perform all activities with children such as jumping, dancing, walking, and running.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to children's needs.
  • Be able to sit on the floor with the children with the agility to change position quickly.
  • Be flexible and willing to work as a team.
  • Maintain safe, tidy and sanitized classroom environments. 
  • Effective communication between fellow staff members and also parents.
