Job Summary
At Tutu School, we look for magic makers. On our team, we want hearts that never stop twirling and minds that thrive on creativity. We require our teachers to have a strong background in dance, great communication skills, and a commitment to our carefully crafted curriculum. Most of all, we want instructors who are invested in nurturing the big dreams of little dancers.
Our teachers play an important role in creating a joyful and welcoming experience for students and families. This position includes teaching ballet classes, supporting studio operations, assisting with events, and helping maintain the beautiful, organized environment that defines Tutu School.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with young children, values the arts, and wants to be part of building a strong community-centered studio from the ground up.
Responsibilities 
  • Teach joyful, engaging 45-minute ballet classes for children ages 6 months to 8 years
  • Lead classes of up to 8 children, including caregiver-supported classes for children under age 3
  • Deliver lessons using Tutu School’s thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate curriculum, music, and studio props
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Provide individualized encouragement, guidance, and positive feedback to students
  • Build positive relationships with families and communicate clearly about student progress, studio policies, and promotions
  • Assist with studio events, including birthday parties, day camps, and recital/performance support as needed
  • Support front-of-house and retail operations, including processing sales, tracking inventory, and restocking merchandise
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the studio, including the dance space, lobby, refreshment area, retail displays, teacher office, break room, bathroom, and mother’s room
  • Represent the Tutu School brand with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and support studio growth in the Boulder community

  • Experience working with children and ballet training or prior dance experience
  • Passion for childhood enrichment, education, and the arts
