The Operations Excellence Manager is the professional in charge of devising strategies to enhance and/or improve company procedures as well as also making sure there is efficiency and a smooth workflow. As a manager, it is essential to lead and encourage the workforce to reach goals, all while implementing the company's policies and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
  • Manage budgets and forecasts
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
  • Interview, train and supervise staff
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Help develop, implement, and maintain policies and protocols
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization's internal capacity
  • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives, increasing quality of customer service
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
  • Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the proprietary tools and systems
  • Work closely with legal and safety departments to make sure activities remain compliant
  • Supervises Area Supervisors
  • Establishes and adheres to communication protocols and standards
  • Ensures adherence to SLAs of project timelines
  • Ensures profitability and cohesiveness across all Areas
  • Ensures proper forecasting with partners

The successful candidate will have

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field required
  • 2+ years  of proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Experience budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with solar business and financial principles preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
