About Department:
The Meadows Museum houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of Spanish art, with works dating from the tenth to the twenty-first century. It includes masterpieces by some of the world's greatest painters: El Greco, Velázquez, Ribera, Murillo, Goya, Miró, Dalí, and Picasso. Highlights of the collection include Renaissance altarpieces, monumental Baroque canvases, exquisite Rococo oil sketches, polychromed wood sculptures, impressionistic landscapes, modernist abstractions, a comprehensive collection of the graphic works of Goya, and a select group of sculptures by major twentieth-century masters-Rodin, Maillol, Giacometti, Moore, Smith, and Oldenburg.
About the Position:
The Meadows Museum seeks a Museum Marketing Partner (MMP) to assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with the museum's overall marketing and communications strategy. The MMP works as part of the marketing team to drive visitation, promote membership sales, and encourage donations. They primarily create engaging visual and written content and broadcast it to the public through the museum's social media channels, via the website, and within the museum proper. The MMP participates in marketing meetings, has a chance to contribute creative ideas and partner on strategy, and assists in other aspects of the department's work. The MMP's primary functions will be to help coordinate projects within the museum by managing deadlines and deliverables and managing the social media accounts of the museum.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the museum, including exhibitions, events, and educational programs. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for audience engagement and growth.
  • Coordinate the member magazines, At the Meadows, a twice a year publication. Responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating with authors, editor, designer, printers and mail house for distribution.
  • Coordinate the museum's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) including content creation, scheduling, engagement, monitoring and analysis.
  • Develop printed and digital marketing material for a variety of museum departments, including, but not limited to, program flyers, member magazines, and mailings.
  • Help maintain and update the museum's website with current information about exhibitions, events, and other news.
  • Assist in promoting museum events, including openings, special programs, and community outreach activities.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and social media activities, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
  • Support the Director of Marketing and Communications with administrative tasks and other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's is required. Master's is preferred. A degree in marketing or another relevant field is preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
Experience marketing, social media management, or a related role, preferably within a cultural or non-profit organization is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills.
Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient with social media platforms and tools, have familiarity with content management systems (CMS: Blackbaud Altru) and email marketing software (Constant Contact).
Some weekends and evenings may be necessary to accommodate museum openings and other events.
