The Macys Executive Development Program focuses on preparing participants for leadership roles through corporate training and strategic projects, while the Macy's Retail Management Trainee program emphasizes hands-on store management skills and customer service. Both programs target recent graduates aiming to build a career in retail leadership, but differ mainly in their focus areas and work environments.
The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. Serving individuals is the most important thing we do each day, and because of that, the Holyoke/Chicopee Area Office is built upon a solid foundation of knowledge, communication and teamwork. The ideal Program Coordinator II (PC II) candidate embraces this approach to service and incorporates learning, respect and communication in the work environment.
In conjunction with the Area Director (or designee), the Program Coordinator II (PC II) will oversee the management of all Commission for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities (CPPD) complaints received. The office receives CPPD complaints which must be logged and administered per the relevant regulations. The ideal candidate must have exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage the myriad paths and stages of investigations, solid communication skills to effectively problem solve with DDS internal staff and external partners, and strong writing skills to timely develop resolution letters and action plans. The PC II must demonstrate leadership in group settings and be able to work collaboratively with the Complaint Resolution Team (CRT) in rendering decisions on each CPPD. The ability to comprehend the regulatory framework of our investigations process (115 CMR 9.00) is essential. The Program Coordinator II is responsible for assisting area office management, particularly the program monitor, and service coordination staff with all processes related to revenue generation. This may include monitoring compliance with Home and Community Based Services the Waiver); problem solving issues involving Medicaid eligibility, tracking and facilitating Waiver enrollments for adults entering services, resolving Participant Allocation Management (PAM), producing Plans Of Care (POCs), and addressing Plan of Care issues. They will also assist as necessary in quarterly audits of systems initiated by the region or central office. The Program Coordinator II will process change in area of service documents for the Area Office, as well as track these to its completion. The Program Coordinator II will work collaboratively with Area Office staff on Participant Directed Programs. The Program Coordinator II will perform other related duties as assigned by the Area Director or Assistant Area Director.
Finally, the Program Coordinator II is an integral part of the area office management team. They will be expected to participate in regular management meetings, provide updates on relevant investigations and participant directed services, and to exhibit leadership within the office. The Program Coordinator II will be expected to help direct problems towards solution and will be called upon as needed to meet the needs of the individuals served.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm
Days Off: Saturday/Sunday
Flexibility required to meet the needs of the Area Office.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range
