Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Technical/Graphics Specialist provides advanced document and graphics support using expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other firm supported software. This role requires excellent creative judgement, attention to detail and time management skills. The Senior Technical/Graphics Specialist must be self-motivated, resourceful and have outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Schedule

4:00 PM-1:00 AM CT, Monday-Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize and design graphics for invitations, newsletters, advertisements, posters, banners and brochures, using firm design guidelines and templates

  • Create, revise and customize PowerPoint presentations

  • Create litigation graphics and demonstratives

  • Illustrate patent drawings

  • Minor video editing

  • Perform clean-up and formatting of common document types

  • Assist with more difficult and complex production assignments

  • Train, mentor and knowledge share with other specialists

  • Proofreading and other general document processing tasks

  • Respond to inquiries regarding status of projects

  • Answer routine and complex questions regarding basic applications and department procedures

  • Assist the IT department in answering routine and complex help desk questions

  • Continue to develop proficiency with document production software and technical applications

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience working in graphic design.

  • Degree in Graphic Design preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere).

  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with action and macro development and document shortcuts

  • Accurate and proficient typing skills (minimum of 75 words per minute preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.

  • Microsoft PowerPoint expertise should include formatting and animating PowerPoint presentations using templates and standards, as well as analyzing and resolving PowerPoint issues.

  • Microsoft Word expertise should include the ability to troubleshoot non-standard documents, prepare tables of contents, prepare tables of authorities, set up and run mail merges, and create labels and badges.

  • Microsoft Excel expertise should include setting up spreadsheets, writing standard and complex formulas, complex formatting and setting printing parameters.

  • Adobe Acrobat expertise should include converting documents to PDF, hyperlinking, combining and embedding PDFs, creating fill-able PDF forms, revising PDF documents, and preparing redactions of PDFs.

  • Proficiency with several of the following software programs a plus: CAD, AIA, Visio, Transcribing Software, DocXtools, OmniPage 14 and ChangePro.

  • Ability to produce accurate work product with minimum revision

  • Excellent proofreading skills.

  • High level of technical aptitude and graphic creativity.

  • Ability to anticipate issues and opportunities and address them with limited to no supervision.

  • Ability to analyze tasks to organize, prioritize and handle multiple projects

  • Ability to function in a fast paced, high production environment.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to handle any tasks that are needed, maintain a flexible work schedule and work overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000.Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location.
