About The Team
The People Partner team provides a seamless people experience for all employees (especially in moments that matter), enabling them to have a positive impact on the business. This team leads scaled human resources (HR) support for our leaders, managers, and employees globally, driving overall engagement and a phenomenal employee experience. The team also drives strategic projects and programs globally to improve overall HR delivery efficiency, supporting and driving our continuous growth and scale.
About the Role
As the Sr Director, Global Head of People Partner, you will lead end-to-end HR delivery across all functions and businesses globally. You will partner with global business leaders, managers, employees, and functional HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to drive strategic employee engagement priorities across all operating regions. This role will report to the Global VP of Core HR and partner with international teams across People & Places (P&P) to support our global business and organizational health. The role will also work closely with our Centers of Excellence (CoE) (e.g., People Operations, People Development, Rewards, Employee Relations, Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), etc.) to co-design and scale programs worldwide, while ensuring nuanced localized needs are seamlessly integrated into global frameworks.
What You'll Do
  • Global Program Design & Delivery: Co-design, scale, and deliver global people programs across all operating regions.
  • Executive Consultation: Consult with global business leadership teams and functional HRBPs on complex, internationally relevant people topics across the HR spectrum.
  • Cyclical Program Execution: Lead end-to-end delivery and execution of all cyclical people programs (e.g., performance management, compensation planning) globally.
  • Operational Optimization: Focus on continuous improvement by questioning the status quo and proactively finding opportunities to scale and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR engagement model and people processes globally.
  • CoE Alignment: Align with international CoEs on P&P programs to ensure consistency and equity across all global business units.
  • Cross-Functional Compliance: Partner with global cross-functional teams in Finance and Legal to ensure robust compliance with varying local and international regulations.
  • Data-Driven Priorities: Work with HRBPs to optimally deliver on business priorities through unified data, insights, process execution, and project support.
  • Global Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and scale a world-class team of seasoned People Partners distributed across multiple international hubs.
  • Global-Local Balance: Drive global people priorities by balancing localized market realities with macro-level company initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • 15+ years of work experience in progressively senior roles with a demonstrable track record in driving HR transformation at scale.
  • Global Leadership Experience: Proven experience working directly with executive leadership to drive strategic HR topics across multiple businesses, functions, and cross-border regions

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years in an HR leadership role, plus additional experience in management consulting.
  • Thought Leadership: Ability to anticipate and drive a long-term global agenda while maintaining a fierce focus on execution and delivery.
  • Masterful Influence: Ability to influence executive leaders across levels, geographies, and functions to drive a common agenda across a highly diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Systemic Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose the root cause of complex organizational issues and drive solutions with a systemic, scalable perspective.
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading, inspiring, and mentoring a highly seasoned, culturally diverse team of HR professionals.
  • Global Mindset: Ability to articulate and balance localized regional nuances with macro business needs to cultivate a true global mindset across P&P and business leadership.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong ability to lead, influence, and back up people strategies with data-driven insights and metrics.
  • Regulatory Navigation: Broad knowledge of international labor frameworks, compliance, and employment practices.

Responsibilities
For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $288,000 per year - USD $320,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $288,000 per year - USD $320,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
