Job Summary:
Otter.ai is on a mission to empower teams through AI-powered productivity technology. As a Client Platform Engineer, you will maintain and improve systems and tools for engineers and business teams while providing IT support and troubleshooting technical issues.
Responsibilities:
• Provide frontline IT support for employees across Windows and macOS environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, access provisioning, and account management.
• Maintain and optimize company systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, and security tools.
• Support enterprise conference AV systems to ensure reliable and high-quality meeting experiences.
• Collaborate with teams managing Okta identity management systems and implement automation for provisioning, access control, and monitoring.
• Contribute to IT process documentation and help scale support operations as the company grows.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years in IT Systems / Enterprise IT / Systems Engineering / DevOps-internal tooling, supporting internal customers (employees)
• Strong scripting skills (Python preferred; Go is a plus) and comfort integrating APIs/services
• Solid troubleshooting fundamentals across macOS/Windows endpoints, networking basics, and security hygiene
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and learning operational best practices (monitoring, patching, reliability)
• Able to work through ambiguous problems and coordinate with IT, Security, and Engineering stakeholders
• Write clear documentation and communicate tradeoffs in a practical, evidence-based way
• Identity and access workflows (Okta/Entra, Google Workspace/M365), provisioning automation
Preferred:
• IAM patterns: access lifecycle automation, least privilege, access reviews
• Identity protocols: SAML, OAuth/OIDC, SCIM (working knowledge is great)
• Google Workspace and/or M365 administration
• Modern device management and endpoint security workflows (Kandji, Intune, Jamf)
• Partnering with Security on compliance initiatives or vulnerability management
