Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Machinist role based in Houston, TX. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating machining tools to create precision parts and instruments. Tasks include interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, performing routine maintenance on machines, ensuring quality standards in production, and collaborating with engineers and other team members to meet project specifications. Emphasis will be placed on accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. Fanuc or Siemens controls.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Experience in performing precise measurements and using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Experience with CNC programming and operation is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining is preferred
- Previous experience as a Machinist in industrial or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
