Profitable, leading machining manufacturer with a diverse business mix is hiring a Machining Process Engineer - NPI to join their new model engineering team. The Machining Process Engineer - NPI will work with a team of engineers and will report to an engineering manager to support machining and other processes. Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading up to four new model machining projects at a time, responsible for the timelines
  • Determining manufacturability for new business, including establishing the manufacturing steps and documenting the process
  • Support operations until product is running efficiently and at or below budget
  • Work with planning on machine availability
  • Provide feedback to the customer when needed
  • Partner with the design engineering team for design support
  • Work with all levels of manufacturing to complete projects
  • Monitor the new product timelines, ensuring on time delivery
  • Assist with capital equipment projects, including overseeing timelines
  • Provide documentation, such as creating work instructions
  • Other duties as directed by engineering management

This is a hands-on role that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day, communicating with the production staff and working as a team to effectively launch new products into production. This site offers the opportunity to work with cutting edge equipment and robotics. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, be able to lead projects independently, and support a team-oriented environment. REQUIREMENTS for the Machining Process Engineer - NPI:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma with at least ten years of similar engineering experience OR a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of similar engineering experience
  • Experience working in CNC machining environments
  • Experience creating, improving and/or troubleshooting machining engineering processes
  • Experience overseeing project timelines
  • Microsoft Office Skills preferred but NOT required
