Job description

Position Summary
The Machining Utility supports daily machining operations by assisting machine operators, maintaining material flow, performing basic quality checks, and ensuring machines and work areas remain clean, organized, and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support CNC and machining operations by loading/unloading parts and materials
  • Assist machine operators with setup support, tool changes, and part handling
  • Perform basic inspections using gauges, calipers, or visual checks to ensure quality standards are met
  • Remove scrap, chips, and debris from machines and work areas
  • Stage raw materials and finished parts to maintain efficient workflow
  • Complete production and quality documentation as required
  • Identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping (5S/6S) standards
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines as assigned

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or machining experience preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 lbs
