Job description

Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $28/hr. to $38/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. 

What You'll Do:
  • Fabricate, erect, install, and maintain shop machinery.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and veneer calipers.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, machines and materials onto machines.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
  • Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments.
  • Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop equipment.
  • Continued education and training to meet the needs of an evolving service industry.
  • Capable of working independently with little to no supervision.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
 
What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Technical diploma in related area of study, such as Precision Machining, preferred.
  • 4+ Years of manual machining experience.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals.
  • Availability to work shifts outside of normal work schedule, including required OT on weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office; Outlook, Excel and Word) and ability to operate windows-based programs from a tablet, computer, or smartphone remotely.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service work.
