STAINLESS PIPING SPECIALISTS NOW EMPLOYEE-OWNED (ESOP)

Stainless Piping Specialists is hiring enthusiastic individuals to join our team for general machine operators with fabrication duties, including training and advancement opportunities that may include Laser machine operation. Join our team and work with a great talented group here at SPS! 1st & 2nd Shift opportunities available.

Summary/Objective:
  • The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, laser cutting etc. for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations.

Essential Functions: 
  • Perform typical Fabrication and Cutting operations.
  • Select proper cutting programs.
  • Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.
  • Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
  • Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required.
  • Perform dimensional inspections.
  • Detect and report defective materials to the supervisor.
  • May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
  • Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.

Education and Experience:
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience a plus.
  • 1 year of fabrication and machine operation a plus.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Organizational skills.

Physical Demands:
  • This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout shift, including lift and/or move items at times that may be up to 50 pounds.
