Industrial Equipment Installation & Millwright Technician Food Processing & Packaging Equipment

Location: Northwest Ohio
Salary: $78,000โ€“$95,000 annually (based on experience)

We're looking for an experienced Industrial Equipment Installation & Millwright Technician to join our growing manufacturing team.

This hands-on position is focused on installing, setting up, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial food processing and packaging equipment. You'll play a key role in bringing new equipment online, modifying production lines, solving equipment issues, and maintaining the equipment that keeps our operation running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Install, assemble, relocate, and commission industrial food processing and packaging equipment.
  • Set up, modify, and improve production lines to support new products and operational growth.
  • Perform precision machinery alignment, leveling, and equipment startup.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Repair and rebuild production equipment as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
  • Respond to equipment issues and restore production safely and efficiently.
  • Recommend and implement equipment improvements that increase reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

What Youโ€™ll Bring
  • Five or more years of industrial equipment installation, millwright, machinery setup, or manufacturing equipment experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience (120Vโ€“480V).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with VFDs and PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.
  • Welding and light fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
