Position Identification:
Non-Exempt
Reports to: Service Superintendent
PositionSummary:
The basic function of the Helperis to perform a variety of duties within the Service Department, Warehouse and or on construction projects, transferring from one task to another as directed.
Job Functions:
  • Handle movement of productsthroughoutthe shop or construction site
  • Assist manager with daily work activities
  • Maintain, repair and adjust tool, machines and equipment
  • Maintain and secure work tools and work area
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):
  • High school graduate
  • 1 year of experience
  • Ability to lift 75lbs
  • Ability to perform physical outdoor labor
  • Ability to do general math
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):
Knowledge of roofing systems and how to apply coatings, sealant, metal, etc. desired but not a must.
Familiar with OSHA standards.
Occupational Health and Safety:
  • Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
  • Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
  • Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace
Working Conditions:
Physical surroundings:Field environmentwith exposure to heights, noise and temperature.Ability to work outdoors in extremeweather conditions, both hot andcold and in windy conditions.
Physical Effort:Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders and scaffolding. Must hear well enough to understand oral directions. Must see to read forms, labels, directions, prints, and specifications.Ability to lift 75 lbs.
