Job Summary


As a Toolmaker / Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual surface grinders, Jig grinders, mills, and lathes to produce tight tolerance components used in precision assemblies. This role requires deep knowledge of machining fundamentals, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to work independently to achieve high quality standards.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time

Duties

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, jig grinders, surface grinders, mills, and related shop equipment.
  • Machine parts to close tolerances often within .0005 or tighter depending on application.
  • Read and interpret Engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Measure and inspect parts using variety of special high precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform manual calculations for dimensions, angles, and fits.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finishes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Document inspection as required in proper format.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of experience working on manual equipment.
  • Proven Ability to hold tolerances within .0005 or tighter depending on application.
  • Experience machining a variety of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, tools steel, plastics, etc..).
  • Solid Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
