Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Machine operation: Set up, operate, and monitor door manufacturing machinery to bore hinges, route jambs, and machine various door types.
  • Assembly: Fabricate and assemble door components according to work orders, which includes cutting doors to size and adding hinges.
  • Quality control: Conduct inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications, and perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machinery.
  • Production support: Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings, perform calculations for measurements, and assist with material and inventory management.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or production issues to maintain efficiency and output.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED; and 6 months to 1-year related experience or on-the-job training.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables. Chooses from workable alternatives.

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to heights; regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat related to weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in some areas.
