What You'll Do: 

As a Machine Shop Production Supervisor, you will lead daily manufacturing operations, develop team members, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.

  • Lead Team Leads and production employees to meet daily production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Conduct shift meetings focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement (SQCDI).
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize machine performance.
  • Monitor production KPIs and develop corrective actions when performance targets are not achieved.
  • Promote a culture of safety through audits, coaching, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, ITAR, quality, and documentation requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leads and employees to maximize performance and engagement.
  • Support employee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and career development.
  • Maintain cross-training plans and workforce flexibility across the department.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Lead 5S/6S and continuous improvement activities throughout the Machine Shop.
  • Monitor equipment utilization and ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and operational readiness.
  • Support staffing, scheduling, attendance management, and labor planning activities.
  • Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate Degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating reports, charts, and KPI tracking using Excel.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production scheduling.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support technical problem-solving efforts.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong business acumen.
