Position: Project Manager – Automation Engineering

Location: Nashua, NH

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the AI revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our headquarters are located in Haiyan, Zhejiang, China and we offer all connector needed components and automation machines to different Amphenol sites. We are currently seeking an Automation Engineering Project Manager to join our team. The position will be located in Nashua, NH or Valley Green, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager – Automation Engineering will be responsible for communicating with the US based internal Business Units that serve as AJET's customers and coordinating projects to the AJET team in China.

A successful candidate will have experience with automation, understand High Speed connector products and related automation machines. This person will pass the exact information to China HQ team by providing onsite meeting and discussion support whenever NH or VG needed. 

  • Liaise with different business units in Nashua, NH, Valley Green PA and the Mexicali manufacturing facility for any new toolings, new machines, and new connector R&D related work.
  • Summarize relevant information to the AJET team in China
  • Managing communication with customers in America
  • Work with sponsors, stakeholders, subject matter experts, functional area resources, and others to develop project scope, schedule, and budget information
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control all aspects of multiple projects in parallel
  • Coordinate internal and external project resources, ensuring resource availability and allocation
  • Collect the new project requirements and demands (tooling, machines, etc.) from North America based Business Units, summarize and provide timely feedback to AJET
  • Provide accurate feedback to customers
  • Determine where opportunities exist to expand business
  • Provide direction to engineers and technicians assisting in the construction, troubleshooting, and documentation of equipment
  • Travel up to 40% to manufacturing sites globally, including AJET HQ in China

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical or other related engineering discipline or applicable experience
  • 0-3 years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability developing and implementing automation processes and equipment
  • Solid knowledge in the Automation/Electrical Engineering Design field, with extensive project management experience in the communication industry
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin is a must
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives
  • Manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Managing and leading both long-term programs/projects, as well as address short-term operational issues
  • Effective written and verbal communicator
