Overview
The Service Foreman's main responsibility is to assist the Service Manager and the Service Advisors in the organization and execution of the service shop's production. This is achieved by leading multi-skilled teams delivering the agreed service and quality at the promised time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and optimize shop operations by assigning work based on technician skillsets, coordinating with Service Advisors, adjusting in real time to meet demand, monitoring progress, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship by giving clear direction, assisting with complex tasks, ensuring proper documentation, identifying additional work opportunities, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Foster effective communication with Service Advisors, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely updates, resolve issues, address parts concerns, and participate in goal-alignment meetings.
  • Drive efficiency through planning by leading daily meetings, allocating resources, preparing shift handovers, overseeing tool readiness, monitoring rework and warranty concerns, and suggesting service or shop enhancements.
  • Promote a collaborative and accountable team culture by encouraging diverse perspectives, supporting professional growth, and aligning team efforts with broader business goals.
  • Apply product and technical expertise to diagnose, service, and repair International Truck and IC Bus products using correct tools, documentation, and techniques.
  • Plan and manage resources-human, physical, informational, and financial-to support productivity and organizational objectives.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-organized work environment.
  • Leverage software and digital tools to document work, access technical information, and support efficient service operations.
