Full-Time - Direct Hire - First Shift

Position Details:
The Manufacturing Engineer initiates the production processes to fulfill customer requirements, provides ongoing coordination and support for the machining operations, and evaluates completed production processes to determine costs and opportunities for ongoing improvement.

Responsibilities:
Customer interaction: receive requests, communicate and confirm requirements, communicate ongoing progress, resolve open issues.

Quoting: estimate material and labor costs, generate and send quotes to customers.

Production interaction: coordinate material sourcing with vendors and machining operations with shop foreman and resolve production issues.

Technical drawing: generate production drawings suitable for machining.

Job routing: Utilize machining experience and expertise to clearly define and communicate material requirements and manufacturing processes for individual jobs to ensure cost-effective and timely production with reliable quality.

Job scheduling: prioritize and schedule work in process to balance machine loads and delivery requirements.

Job costing: review time and materials used and input into computer database to determine the costs of completed jobs.

Purchasing: procure required materials and tooling for jobs as well as miscellaneous production supplies and tools for shop.

Order entry: Enter orders with appropriate due dates, shipping information, and relevant customer instructions.

Continuing Improvement: collaborate with shop foreman to improve machining processes, tooling,
