About the Role:

The Tennis Shop Supervisor supports the daily operations of the tennis shop and facility, ensuring a high level of service for members and guests. This role combines retail operations, administrative responsibilities, and front-line customer service to create a welcoming and efficient tennis environment.

Retail & Shop Operations

  • Perform daily shop attendant duties, including restocking drinks, snacks, and retail merchandise
  • Operate the retail point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
  • Receive and process incoming merchandise (hard goods), maintain inventory, and handle special orders
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the shop
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic beverages, in accordance with club policies and local regulations

Customer Service & Member Experience

  • Provide exceptional, professional customer service to members and guests
  • Greet members and guests, assist with inquiries, and direct them to assigned courts
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication between members and tennis staff regarding scheduling, programs, and general inquiries
  • Support a welcoming and organized atmosphere within the tennis facility

Court & Facility Coordination

  • Monitor court sheets and assist with court assignments and scheduling
  • Track and enter court usage data accurately
  • Communicate court availability, changes, and updates to both members and tennis staff
  • Oversee general facility activity during shifts to ensure smooth operations

Administrative & System Management

  • Process billing for all tennis programs using Northstar
  • Manage and create tournament and event registrations within Northstar
  • Ensure drink and food requisitions are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting using Microsoft Excel

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively between members and staff
  • Experience with retail operations and POS systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
  • Experience with Northstar or similar club management software is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
