Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.
MD&A's Repairs Division is seeking a highly skilled machine shop supervisor with CNC programming experience to oversee daily shop operations for our 2nd shift. This position offers a competitive salary based on experience and skill level. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, in-depth machining knowledge, and proficiency in CNC programming to ensure efficient operations and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily machine shop operations and ensure workflow efficiency
  • Assign and supervise work, maintaining high production and quality standards
  • Ensure CNC machines and tools are properly maintained and operational
  • Monitor and evaluate production records to improve performance
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies
  • Develop work-holding strategies and design fixtures for complex geometries
  • Assist the shop floor in meeting quality requirements and troubleshooting machining issues
  • Maintain continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Requirements
  • Ability to work 2nd shift from 2pm-10:30pm
  • Experience with 3 & 4 axis Mills, 4 axis Horizontal Mills, VTL's, and Lathes ( Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak)
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Inventor/Mastercam) and CNC programming
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and fixture design
  • Ability to lead a team, manage workflows, and optimize shop operations
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset with focus on quality control
