Job Summary

Fabrication Solutions. LLC. is a highly skilled, small custom metal fabrication company located in Oakland Park, Florida. We are currently seeking a welding production assistant/ "Shop Hand" to join our team! In this role, you will assist the fabricator/welder in moving material, cutting, pre and post material preparation in the fabrication process of the product.  You must be able to adhere to a strict production schedule while always prioritizing safety. 
 
Responsibilities 

  • Accurately understand a tape measure. 
  • Adhere to a strict production schedule.
  • Look over products after production to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Time management and communication
  • Proper handling of all material raw and finished. 
  • Strong organization skills within the workplace and on job site. 
  • Prepping and surface conditioning of material(s) 
  • Precision cutting of steel, stainless steel and aluminum with specialize equipment (band saw, shear, torch).
  • Ability to utilize and operate machinery such as a forklift.
  • Must be able to lift 80+ lbs.
  • Must clear a level II background check
  • Must be an able to pass a drug test at random.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the construction/manufacturing field is a plus but not required. 
  • Experience operating heavy machinery.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and vision
  • Highly detail-oriented with accuracy
  • Strong Communication Skills.
