Job description

The Production Supervisor will manage and supervise all production operations on the shop floor, must be proficient in CAD and Cutrite  know how to operate CNC and program,. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise the shop floor.
  • Ensure safety of all team members through proper training and reinforcement in all plant positions.
  • Understands and has a working knowledge of all job-related quality objectives, quality system policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Communicate daily goals to team members as dictated by the production schedule.
  • Support plant layout changes and direct efficient flow in all departments through standard work for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with maintenance and monitor equipment reliability.
  • Manage daily/weekly production requirements.
  • Manage safety and continuous improvement teams during events.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a production/manufacturing team.
  • Experience in cabinetry industry a must.
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated and the ability to work independently.
  • Must have strong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Have experience in lean manufacturing
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.

Working conditions

  • Work is performed in both an office and a manufacturing environment.
