Shop Foreman, Stone & Solid Surface Fabrication

Location: Providence, RI
Work Type: Full-time, In-person
Pay: $26 to $30/hour, based on experience
Benefits: Vacation, PTO, and health allowance

Take the next step in your stone fabrication career with a hands-on leadership role.

Are you an experienced stone fabrication professional who knows how to keep a shop organized, productive, and running the right way? This is a great opportunity for a bilingual shop leader who enjoys being hands-on, solving technical problems, and keeping the crew moving each day. If you can manage people, machines, schedules, and quality without losing sight of the details, this Shop Foreman role could be a strong fit.

Why This Opportunity?
  • Lead the Shop Floor: Manage day-to-day crew activity, production flow, scheduling, and machine priorities.
  • Stay Hands-On: This is not a desk-only role. You will be in the shop helping troubleshoot issues, solve technical problems, and keep work moving.
  • Work with Quality Materials: Oversee fabrication for natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and solid surface projects.
  • Keep Production Organized: Help ensure the right people are working on the right tasks each day.
  • Competitive Pay and Benefits: $26 to $30/hour, with vacation, PTO, and a health allowance.
What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Shop Foreman, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and organizing the shop crew to keep production on schedule.
  • Managing daily workflow, job priorities, machine scheduling, and labor efficiency.
  • Coordinating fabrication work for natural stone, quartz, porcelain, and solid surface projects.
  • Helping troubleshoot technical issues on the shop floor.
  • Supporting preventative maintenance and hands-on repairs for shop equipment when needed.
  • Reviewing work for quality and helping catch issues before they become remakes.
  • Keeping the shop clean, safe, organized, and focused.
  • Supporting safe material handling, slab movement, PPE usage, and silica dust management.
  • Helping bridge communication between project management and the fabrication team.
What You Bring:
  • Stone Fabrication Experience: 5+ years of direct stone fabrication experience is required.
  • Shop Leadership Experience: Prior experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Fabricator, Shop Manager, or similar hands-on leadership role.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish: Spanish is strongly required for day-to-day crew leadership and communication.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working around CNCs, bridge saws, water systems, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Production Mindset: Ability to manage schedules, organize crews, reduce waste, and keep jobs moving efficiently.
  • Quality Focus: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to preventing remakes.
  • Safety Mindset: Ability to maintain a clean, safe shop and enforce safe work practices.
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines
  • In-person role based in Providence, RI
